The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Provides Several Performance

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S takes the place of the original Xperia Arc. The original was certainly an impressive handset with an extensive spec list. The Xperia Arc S sees a number of upgrades, ranging from its processor to its web browsing speeds and internal storage capacity.

In this article I will take a closer look at the key features of the Sony Ericsson Arc S, so you can decide if it is the right smartphone for you.

The Sony Ericsson Arc S is an attractive looking handset. It is available in a number of striking colour schemes, and is one of the thinnest smartphones in the world, beaten only by the likes of the Motorola RAZR. It is the same as the original Xperia Arc in terms of its appearance, so the differences between the two are found beneath the surface...

Browsing the web is a great experience on the Xperia Arc S, thanks to 14.4 megabytes per second data download speeds in 3G covered areas. This is twice as fast as the original Xperia Arc, and of course it also has the option to use Wi-Fi for browsing the web whenever users have access to local wireless networks. The new version also outdoes the original in term of its available onboard storage, with 1 GB included as standard along with the added bonus of a microSD card (8GB) supplied with the handset, although this can be replaced with a memory card of upto 32 GB. As mentioned, the Xperia Arc S also ports an upgraded processor over its predecessor. At 1.4 GHz, it is certainly a powerful chip, which is necessary to carry out recourse demanding tasks such as multitasking, web browsing, gaming (the processor plays a large part in the graphics displayed), and the responsiveness of the touchscreen.

The Sony Ericsson Arc S also has a number of similar features to the original. HTC Touch Diamond Review

The HTC Corp, though a relatively young company, has already captured the hearts of millions across the globe with their amazing device, the HTC Touch Diamond. The mobile phone is extraordinary in everything it offers its users: style, utility and innovation. The first thing that would attract you about this phone is its amazing beauty of brushed steel with mat finish, smooth flowing edges and as compact as it can come. Whenever you would read a HTC Touch Diamond review, you would most definitely find one whole paragraph to its amazing style and beauty.

The second most impressive factor is the huge 2.8" TFT touch screen. Not only is the screen of the phone super-huge but also, it brings the menu literally at your fingertips. The touch screen is powered by a new technology, TouchFlo 3D which permits you to operate your mobile phone with your fingers by touching different icons on the screen. You have to experience this in order to understand how amazing it feels to do so. The HTC Touch Diamond comes not only with this amazing innovation but also with super fast connectivity to the Internet through yet another ground-breaking technology, HSDPA. You can surf the Net and even open and navigate sites such as YouTube, Google and the like.

This is not all. As you will read in the HTC Touch Diamond review, this phone comes with a wonderful 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. You can now capture any such memory you like, anytime it happens because you would be always ready. The camera is easy to set up, easy to use and produces excellent quality photographs and videos. The HTC Touch Diamond comes with a picture stabilizer that insures that your photograph is perfect even if your subject chooses not to. You can shoot excellent videos, while the still camera can give you an unending source of joy.

The HTC Touch Diamond review would mention the major highlights of the HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone:

1. A huge 2.8" touch screen - the screen is great in two ways - size and touch-driven menu. You would be quite impressed seeing the huge screen at first; then the touch ability of the mobile phone would make you completely forget about the size and concentrate on its utility. The TouchFlo 3D interface literally brings the mobile phone to life.

2. Weather announcement - this is perhaps one of the few if not first mobile phone that provides you a weather analysis wherever you go. It has two settings so you could program it to see the weather where you are presently and at home. The same goes for the time.

3. Internet connectivity - The HTC Touch Diamond review also mentions the excellent HSDPA internet connectivity with the help of which you could access Internet at high speed for effortless surfing, uploading and downloading.

4. Memory - the HTC Touch Diamond comes with a 4GB internal storage memory, which gives you scope to carry as many songs, photographs, video clips as you would like.

5. GPS - this is one of the very few phones, according to the HTC Touch Diamond review that allows you satellite navigation experience with the help of automatically reading maps.

Bringing the Hero Out in Your Child With Optimus Prime 3D Costume

The Optimus Prime 3D costume is one of the most popular this Halloween season as little boys everywhere want to transform into their favorite hero. Batman, Spiderman, Superman...those are old school. Optimus Prime 3D is the modern day version of the classic hero, the one who steps in with bold action, and bravely saves the day. If your little boy is a leader, and loves to be in the spotlight playing the starring role, then this might just be the best choice of costume for him.

Optimus Prime is one of the Original Transformer characters. He is the leader of the Autobots, whose mission is to seek out new worlds with energy sources for their depleted world of Cybertron. Optimus landed here when his ship crashed to Earth, and now fights the villainous Decepticons, the evil robot faction determined to take over the Earth.

Like all good leaders, Optimus is devoted to his cause, and determined to improving the lives of those around him. He has a strong sense of justice, and is committed to protecting all life on Earth, particularly that of humans. Optimus is compassionate, brave, and fights with unyielding resolve.

He also has the ability to transform into a big truck. What more could a little boy ask for??

The appeal of this character for little boys (no matter what age) has been phenomenal. In fact, Optimus was featured in an episode of Comedy Central's South Park, on NBC's show Scrubs, and was even in a print ad for Nokia's 6820 phones. Of course, there is also a full line of Optimus merchandise for children, including several versions of the transformer toy, video games, book bags, etc. So why has he become such an icon in our modern age?

Because the character of Optimus appeals to the hero in all of us. He's the voice inside our head that wants to right the wrongs and create a better world. Even kids understand this desire. And they can literally step into this role, complete with foam cuffs and a character mask. Optimus allows them to become the hero, and to prevail over the evil forces around them. When so much is out of a child's control, this little reprieve, even for only a few hours, can mean so much more to them than just slipping into a Halloween costume.

Optimus represents the ability to choose their own path, to lead themselves into whatever battles come their way, and to emerge triumphant. Optimus may be the modern day version of what a hero looks like, but what he stands for, is the time honored tradition of all heroes - bravery, integrity, and a steadfast resolve to do what's right, though it may not be the easiest path to follow.

The much anticipated upgrade to the high end, flagship Sensation smart phone from HTC has now landed in the UK, HTC Sensation XE deals have now been made available across three UK network operators including Vodafone, O2 and Orange as well as being released as a SIM free mobile phone.

Initial prices range from free on O2 at £31 line rental per month, £26 for a free phone on Orange and £33.50 per month on Vodafone, the current best deal has to be on the Orange Panther 26 tariff as it includes a substantial 750MB of internet access which if the user is to get the best out of their new HTC Sensation XE is paramount.

Three Uk retailers are currently offering HTC Sensation XE deals, these include the award winning BuyMobiles.com who are an independent retailer, Mobiles.co.uk who are owned by The Carphone Warehouse and SIM free specialists Expansys.com who offer the phone without contract deals as a boxed and unlocked handset.

The new HTC Sensation XE upgrades many of the features from the previous model and includes some new technology from an audio company that the manufacturer recently purchased called Beats Audio.

Physically, there is not a lot of difference in looks between the old and the new phones, but HTC have concentrated on beefing up the insides to produce their most powerful and engaging smart phone to date.

The processor of the original HTC Sensation was a very fast dual core 1.2GHz chip, this has now been upgraded to an industry leading 15GHz dual core processor making even lighter work of running multiple applications and handling heavy usage smoothly.

If there has been one downside to the Android operating system it is that it is renowned for using a lot of battery power, HTC have addressed this in their Sensation XE by packing in an even larger battery at 1730mAh compared with the 1520mAh of the original model, this produces far more talk time, standby time and time using 3G services.

The new Beats Audio software greatly improves the listening experience of music and sounds both via the external handsfree speakers as well as the included headphones.

What has not changed from the previous Sensation model is the large 4.3 inch touch screen display and the high quality 8 mega pixel camera on the rear of the phone which can capture 1080p full HD video clips, there's also a front facing camera for making video calls.

The HTC Sensation XE runs the latest Android 2.3.4 operating system as well as featuring the manufacturer much loved HTC Sense user interface which has had some new tweaks made to it for an even more user friendly experience.

Connectivity is provided with fast 3.5G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a GPS receiver which when used with satellite navigation software provides turn by turn directions.

LG Optimus V Android Phone Review

The Korea-based LG Corp. is one of the leading electronics manufacturers in the world. The company started to produce mobile phones in 1997, and currently they are the fifth largest cellphone producer in the world. Phones manufactured by LG are targeted at consumers from all financial ranges. The LG Optimus series is a budget-phone series with quality. Although incomparable to Apple's iPhone, it has been proven to fulfill consumers' need for a low-cost yet responsive and powerful smartphone.

The LG Optimus V is the exclusive version of the Optimus series for the mobile service provider Virgin Mobile. It is very similar to the Optimus S, which is exclusive for Sprint. Other versions of the Optimus line of handsets include Optimus U, Optimus T, Optimus M, and the Vortex.

The LG Optimus V was introduced to the market in February 2011. It is equipped with the Android 2.2 Froyo, which is a decent operating system for an entry-level smartphone. LG also stated that the phone is upgradeable to the latest version of the Android platform the 2.3 Gingerbread. The dimensions of the phone are 4.5 x 2.3 x 0.5 inches and the weight is 4.7 ounces. It features an intuitive and vivid 3.2 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.

The design of the handset is very similar to the Optimus S and Optimus U, but it also has several distinct features. The most noticeable difference is the color; the Optimus V is pure black instead of slate gray. Additionally, the home screen features several exclusive built-in Virgin Mobile apps. Similar to other handsets of the Optimus series, the Optimus V is a CDMA network phone which features internet connectivity through dual-band EV-DO Rev 0 (850/1900 MHz) with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. Unlike the Optimus M, it features fast 3G connectivity via Sprint's 3G network. This means you can do browse or stream and videos with ease. However, unlike the other Optimus handsets, this smartphone does not feature mobile hot-spot capabilities.

One of the best features of this smartphone is the built-in GPS which provides real-time location on maps, driving directions, and more. The GPS can also be used with other location-based apps such as Latitude, Google Maps, and Scvngr. For effortless and fast texting, you can use the Swype keyboard. You only have to glide your fingers across the on-screen keyboard, moving from one letter to another in one continuous movement.

The LG Optimus V is also equipped with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, a 3.2 megapixel camera (without LED flash), 157 MB free internal memory, and a 2 GB preloaded microSD card. Price starts from $120.99, and may vary between retailers.

LG Optimus 7 Review: The Android Killer

LG Optimus 7 Mobile Phones
Ever since Microsoft announced that they will be bringing the much fancied Windows 7 OS to the mobile platform, everyone here in UK thought it would be quite some time before any of these extravagant plans actually materialized. Surprisingly, Microsoft did launch the spanking new Windows Phone 7 OS last year and from what most mobile phone reviews make out of it, the OS is simply put "breathtaking". Although Androids stronghold into the OS market isn't going to be disturbed just yet, but when the final version or rather the tweaked WP7 OS does come out within the fag end of this year, many mobile phone reviews predict that the Androids mobile OS dominance could well be over.

Last year, LG had announced that it will be bringing its flagship Windows Smartphone this year. Well, staying true to their pledge LG will be launching the brand new LG E900 Optimus 7 within the current quarter as according to a few LG Optimus 7 review published online. Although LG Optimus 7 deals have not started to pop up just yet, but going with certain LG Optimus 7 review the deals will be fairly competitive, might well be below the average Android Smartphone handset.

The LG E900 is not just another exciting offering from LG but this handset does pack in all the modern technology that one can expect within a next-gen mobile handset. Weighing in at 157g, the Optimus 7 incorporates a next-gen 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display. Made entirely out of the latest Gorilla glass, it boasts of a built in Accelerometer sensor, Proximity sensor along with complete touch sensitive controls. The most recent LG Optimus 7 review suggests that handset actually breezes through all the provided apps thanks to the powerful 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

The Optimus 7 will ship in with 16GB of built in storage according to LG Optimus 7 review that sadly can't be expanded. On the plus side, most mobile phone reviews on the E900 are particularly impressed with the WP7 exclusive "DLNA support". However, what makes WP7 handsets truly special is the possibility of playing online multiplayer "Xbox live games" right from your handset. Powered by XNA, the Xbox live games on the Optimus 7 work brilliantly. In fact nearly all mobile phone reviews agree on the fact that the games are actually much better than those seen on Android handsets.

Entertainment wise, LG have included a 5 megapixel autofocus camera that will boast of dedicated LED flash. HD video recording in full 720p is possible over the handset besides there is also a special Panorama shot mode for taking enhanced Panorama shots. All in all the LG Optimus 7 is a complete package. Let's just hope and pray the LG Optimus 7 deals pan out cheap as predicted by quite a few mobile phone reviews.

Samsung Galaxy S3 to Upgrade the Galaxy S2

Much of the talk recently from the Korean manufacturer Samsung has been about the release of their latest Android operating software called Ice Cream Sandwich, however there now looks to be a new phone on the horizon which is to not only upgrade the current best-selling Samsung Galaxy S2 but also feature this latest OS, namely; the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The new Samsung Galaxy S3 is to offer a whopping 18GHz dual core processor which will be officially the fastest on the market, coupled with this is a staggering 12 mega pixel camera.

Currently the Samsung Galaxy S2 features a 1.2GHz dual core chip along with an 8 mega pixel camera so this is a serious upgrade to what is already a very advanced smart phone.

The main touch screen display is also to be upgraded to a large 4.6 inch Super AMOLED, the same technology as the current Samsung Galaxy S2 but even bigger, however the one overriding and noticeable change between these two handsets comes in the form of a new shape.

Whilst the existing Galaxy S2 is a very square and slim device measuring just 8.9mm at its thinnest point the new Samsung Galaxy S3 offers a far more rounded design often found in the manufacturers Wave range of handsets but is also reported to actually be slimmer than the current model.

The release of the latest Android OS was officially delayed by Google out of respect for the recent passing of the man at the helm of Apple; Steve Jobs, the launch event has now been rescheduled for a later date and the roll out to existing devices will occur after this date.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has recently been voted by readers of T3 magazine as the 'Phone of the Year 2011' beating off stiff competition from the likes of the iPhone 4 and HTC Sensation, should the new Galaxy S3 follow a similar path we could already be looking at the 'Phone of the Year 2012' considering the sheer amount of technology this new phone offers.

Although there has been no official release date mentioned by Samsung it is widely expected that the Galaxy S3 will be launched alongside the new Google Galaxy Nexus as happened with the previous Galaxy S and Nexus S launch pattern.

Whether we'll actually see these two new phones this year remains unanswered but both Android and Samsung fans are already licking their lips at the though of these high specification devices hitting the market.

The New HTC Sensation XE Offers Some Great Features For Music Playback

The smartphone world has recently seen several handsets released, aimed at slightly more "niche" markets than the majority of handsets. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover which is aimed at those who want a rugged, hardwearing smartphone, and the HTC Salsa which is pitched at social networking enthusiasts.

Now, HTC has released the Sensation XE. This is an upgraded version of the popular HTC Sensation, which is the manufacturer's latest flagship smartphone. It is aimed at music fans, with a number of neat features perfectly cater to this demographic.

So what exactly does the HTC Sensation XE offer its users in terms of music features? In this article I will provide an overview of why this is a great handset for those who like to store and play music on their phone...

Beats by Dr. Dre
Hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre has released his own line of premium speakers and headphones, under the branding "Beats Audio". HTC recently invested $300 million in the company to take a 51% share. The HTC Sensation XE incorporates this technology, giving it what is undeniably the best sound quality of any smartphone to date, and we can expect to see this in more and more new HTC releases. The handset comes with enhanced built in speakers, along with a set of Beats braded earbuds.

Battery Life
The HTC Sensation XE has also seen a number of other upgrades which enhance its credentials as a music device. One of the most important issues regarding this is battery life. This has been somewhat enhanced to cater for longer periods of music playback. This is one of the major issues many people have with smartphones, and HTC has cleverly recognised this and offered a solution.

Storage
Additionally, the HTC Sensation XE has more internal storage than the original HTC Sensation. With 4 GB available (along with enhanced RAM), users can store more music tracks in their phone, and there is also the option of utilising the microSD slot for expanding the storage (up to 32GB). Therefore, an entire music collection can easily be stored in the phone.

As you can see, this version has been upgraded to provide great music playback, but the enhancements don't stop there. General performance has also been improved thanks to a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor (making it the most powerful smartphone currently available in terms of processing power). This means that more efficient multitasking can be carried out; for example playing music whilst carrying out other tasks such as browsing the internet or writing a text message.

Also, the styling has been slightly tweaked to set this phone apart from the standard Sensation. It has red illumination on the capacitive Android shortcut key rather than the standard white, with red detailing on the speakers and Beats Audio branding on the back.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mobile Phone

For the past two years we have seen numerous additions to Samsung's Galaxy line-up, and this year we will be treated to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Filling the shoes of the wildly successful Galaxy S2 is no mean feat, but knowing Samsung we are sure to be treated to some next generation smartphone tech.

In this article I will look at the rumours which are currently circulating about what we can expect from the device.
Processor
Two years ago, a 1 GHz single-core processor was seen as the holy grail of processing power thanks to phones like the HTC Desire and original Samsung Galaxy S. A year later, dual-core processors were introduced, as seen in the Galaxy S2 and quickly became the norm in many manufacturers' releases. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely to be the first mainstream smartphone release to pack a quad-core processor. Because the processor is essential to the performance of many aspects of the phone, expect to see the benefits throughout the hardware (such as touchscreen responsiveness) and software (loading times of apps and the speed of the interface). It is expected that each core of the processor will be clocked at 1.2 GHz although it is entirely possible that upto 1.5GHz may be included.

Screen
Until recently, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S reined supreme when it came to the resolution of their touchscreen thanks to the retina display. Recently though, several handsets like the Sony Xperia S and Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Note came with screens which packed a resolution much higher than Apple's offering. Samsung already has the hi res technology so we are guaranteed to see this transferred to the Galaxy S3 along with a possible increase in screen size over its predecessor. It is also widely expected that the Galaxy S3 will keep the S-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of both predecessors, which are well-known for their wide viewing angles, brightness (even when outdoors) and colour rendering.

Design
Although we can only speculate on the design of the Samsung Galaxy S3 until it is officially unveiled, it is likely that Samsung will carry on with the aesthetics of the Galaxy S2 but probably look to make it thinner. Recent releases like the Motorola RAZR have put pressure on the competition to match or even outdo its 7.1mm thickness. We can expect to see a black version released, with a white version released on or soon after its release date if past Galaxy models are anything to go by.

Along with the features mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely to have a higher pixel count on its camera, enhanced multimedia capabilities and of course the new version of the Android operating system. This is called Ice Cream Sandwich and is showcased on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and will be rolled out to compatible handsets next month. It sees a massive overhaul to the popular platform meaning the Samsung Galaxy S3 will definitely satisfy in terms of software.

It was recently announced that Samsung will not be unveiling the Galaxy S3 at the Mobile World Congress show next month, which has been a surprise to many. However this suggests that Samsung will be putting on quite an event to showcase their new flagship so we can expect something very special indeed.

The Stunning New HTC One X Boasts A Quad-Core Processor

After a successful 2011 line up, HTC has just announced its new generation of Android smartphones. At the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona last week, the Taiwanese manufacturer showed of its HTC One X along with three others. In this article I will introduce the key features of the HTC One X.

Aesthetically, the HTC One X looks similar to many previous handsets from the manufacturer. Lightweight and slimline (130 grams and 9.2mm respectively) the handset houses a huge 4.7 inch super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen on the front. This is the most advanced touchscreen from HTC to date. Its resolution of 720x 1280 allows outstanding display quality of HD movies, games and web pages etc, whilst producing some of the best levels of brightness and clarity we have seen on any smartphone.
As expected, the HTC One X is the first HTC phone to ship with the new version of Android, called Ice Cream Sandwich, and more notably, it is the first smartphone with a quad-core processor. Last year we saw the introduction of the dual-core chipset on smartphones, but the HTC One X brings the power of the smartphone to a whole new level and we can expect to see this feature on a whole host of smartphone releases over the rest of the year. At 1.5 GHz, the quad-core processor is on hand to provide levels of performance we have until now, not seen on any smartphone. Expect all aspects of the phones performance from the responsiveness of the touchscreen to the quality of the graphics on screen, to the speed at which web pages are loaded, to be unlike anything you have seen from a smartphone in the past.

Many would expect the HTC One X to have a camera with a higher pixel resolution than the standard 8 megapixels of last year's flagship the Sensation. This is not the case though, and rather than focussing on upping the pixel count of the camera, HTC has instead chosen to concentrate on adding to the features and capabilities of the camera. Among the additions to the camera's spec list is the ability to simultaneously capture video footage and still images, along with enhancements to the video recording capabilities such as video stabilisation and stereo sound recording.

Unusually for an Android smartphone from HTC, the One X lacks a microSD slot, however 32 GB of onboard storage is likely to be ample for the vast majority of users. The HTC One X is a very exciting phone indeed, and builds on the spec list of previous flagship handsets, bringing them bang up to date with a quad-core processor and the latest Android platform.

The HTC One X ticks all the boxes and gives a good insight into what we can expect from other manufacturers throughout the year, with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 being notable events on the smartphone calendar.

Comparing The Samsung Galaxy S2 With The Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Samsung Galaxy S II Mobile Phone
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is among the most popular Android smartphones of all time, and certainly the most successful phone for Samsung. However, this is not their highest spec handset. Along with the Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has the highest specs when it comes to several of its features. In this article I will compare some key features of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus so you can decide which is the better smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus was a collaboration between Samsung and Google to showcase the latest v4.0 of Android, dubbed 'Ice Cream Sandwich'. The Samsung Galaxy S2 however ships with the previous 'Gingerbread' version installed. The Galaxy S2 supports an update to the new version of the software, but because the Nexus was the first phone to have this version as standard, Samsung ensured it has the hardware to do the job.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Mobile Phone
The screen is arguably the crowning feature of the Galaxy Nexus. Even to this day, it has one of the highest resolutions of any smartphone. At 720x 1280, it is only now being matched by newer phones. This gives it the ability to display HD videos as well as photos and games it top quality. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a qHD screen resolution (480x 800), which although impressive, is still ay short of that of the Galaxy Nexus.

Probably the most disappointing feature of the Nexus (on paper at least) is its camera. With a resolution of 5 megapixels, it is below what you would expect from a phone with a brand new operating system and high definition screen. Despite its seemingly low resolution, the camera is still able to capture video footage in 1080p high definition, which is a feature shared with the Samsung Galaxy S2, although this is to be expected as the device has an 8 megapixel camera.

Both handsets are matched on several features; they both have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, so you can expect great performance from both devices. Equally impressive is their data download speeds when browsing the internet over a g3 connection; at 21 megabytes per second, they are among the fastest web browsing phones available.

The Galaxy S2 was released in April 2011, whereas the Galaxy Nexus hit the market in November 2011. By the time the Galaxy Nexus was released, momentum had already picked up in sales of the Galaxy S2, which explains why the Galaxy Nexus was not as successful, despite several more appealing specifications. Both handsets are superb in their own rights though, and whichever you choose you are unlikely to be disappointed. If you are in the market for a Samsung smartphone though, it may be worth waiting a little longer, as their latest flagship is due for release later this year. The Galaxy S3 is rumoured to sport a 12 megapixel camera and quad-core processor among its key features and looks set to be one of the biggest tech releases of 2012.

The LG has recently launched a Smartphone for budget conscious users, the LG Optimus L3. This Smartphone runs on Android OS and is priced at $153.67 that makes it a budget category Smartphone. Let us find out about the specs of this phone and other technical aspects.

Design

The look and design of LG Optimus L3 is different from other Smartphones. Comparatively it is neither sleek nor as stylish as other brands available in the market. It is a unibody phone with plastic finish that measures 102mm x 61.6mm x 11.7mm. This means that this phone is relatively smaller that makes it convenient to carry in pocket and it fits well in the palm. Screen of the phone measures 3.2 inches but it is impressive to look at. This Smartphone is available in two colors: off white and black color.

Specifications and features

When it comes to the specs and features of this phone the phone seems pretty decent in the approach. This phone has a 3mp camera at the rear end. The phone is powered with 1540 mAh battery that is powerful enough to support the routine functionalities and browsing for a whole day without charging. The UI (2.0) of the phone is more the same as in any Android phone as there are not much differences.
However a user interested in downloading music or storing pictures can do with 1GB of storage capacity. For more memory space one can opt to expand the memory with 32GB micro SD card. For social media enthusiasts Twitter and Facebook are provided. These work fast and smooth, other functionalities like network, voice and music sound are good especially when we look at an entry level phone like L3. Another interesting thing about this phone is that it is a dual SIM phone; you can insert two GSM SIM cards in this phone.

LG Optimus L3: Screen and display

Thought this is s Smartphone but with mere 3.2 inches of screen, this does leaves a user disappointed. A phone that is competing against the likes of Sony and Nokia budget phones, much is expected on terms of a decent display screen. Nonetheless, the resolution of this phone is 320X240 pixel which does some justice to the display. A user will be easily able to browse through social media websites and play games as these require image clarity and sharpness that is delivered well by this phone. The display is comfortably visible at all the angles and is brighter too this makes it easy to view e-mails, pictures and other content with relative clarity.

Performance

This phone is powered with Qualcomm MSM7225A at 800MHz processor. The system runs on Gingerbread that is decent in its performance. However, one must remember that this phone is not made for heavy gaming or downloads. On a routine basis if you use this phone for browsing then it will work fine but indulging in streaming songs and videos might leave you a bit disappointed, this is as much as its 384mb RAM can support.

Battery

The battery of LG Optimus L3 is decent as it provides a day of backup if you indulge in routine browsing. As far as the talk time goes you will be able to pull through 10 hours of 3G talk time, with 2G you will be able to use it for 12.5 hours easily. Another interesting thing to notice is that if you keep the Wi-Fi turned on and use push E-mail functionality this will amaze you with a couple of days battery backup without having to charge your phone. Overall, the battery performance is good and exactly what one expects out of it especially with a budget phone like LG.

The Verdict

LG Optimus L3 is comes out as a winner when it comes to style, design and small form. Other things like battery life are impressive, UI is user friendly and smooth. Gaming enthusiasts will be surprised by its ability to support 3D games and load flash content easily. However, the phone has its cons too, especially with 3mp camera that may leave the user disappointed; another thing is the internal memory that seems a bit low. However, a user has an option of expandable memory but this does leaves one a bit disappointed especially for storing music and pictures. If the camera quality is tweaked then this phone will be able to interest majority of technology users looking for budget phone.
